ABOUT
PHNX
“You can’t turn dreams into reality while you’re sleeping,” has become the motto that PHNX lives by, thriving on 4 hours or less of sleep a night as he travels the world from one colorful adventure to the next. With a fiery persona and an even more electric appearance, the nocturnal PHNX seemed destined for something higher from the start.
Born in North Carolina, early on, PHNX developed a well-honed penchant for weaving captivating tales. A self-taught musician, actor, and comedian from a young age, PHNX has always had an ear for music and an eye for the avant-garde. He relocated to Southern California after having made his stake on the east coast as a member of a traveling theatrical troupe, a short-lived band and as a radio host at 88.7 WXDU in Raleigh-Durham.
After trying his hand on the standup comedy scene, he turned his sights to screenwriting and television production where he developed his skills by working on various independent projects as a writer, director, actor and producer before forming his own indie production company Maverick Starr Productions. Recently, he partnered with Black Sands Entertainment, a black-owned publishing house as the lead writer for their “Sons of Nibiru” manga series.
In addition to creative endeavors, PHNX spends his free time living in the fast lane - traveling, racing motorcycles and cars, learning new languages and picking up new instruments while always in the search of the next story in one of life’s infinite adventures. With PHNX, you never know what you’re going to get, but it’s guaranteed to be on fire!
